Alcohol abuse is involved in as many as two-thirds of all sexual assaults and date rapes of teens and college students.
A study that was conducted by National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), has determined that well over 50% of all falls that are treated in hospital emergency rooms are alcohol related.
The solution to underage drinking lies in educating these young people at a very early age to respect alcohol for the danger that it can produce.
An estimated 5,000 people under the age of 21 die as a result of underage alcohol drinking each year. This includes about 1,900 deaths from motor vehicle crashes, 1,600 as a result of homicides, 300 from suicide, and hundreds from other injuries such as falls, burns, and drowning.
